Two year's ago at Blogging While Brown 2011 in Los Angeles, Comcast announced that they were launching the Internet Essentials program to provide broadband internet access to low-income Americans. At a presentation this week,  Comcast Executive Vice President David L. Cohen announced  that they have now connected 1 million low-income Americans through the Internet Essentials program. Comcast has been a sponsor of Blogging While Brown for four years.  We continue to emphasize the importance not only of closing the digital divide between those who have broadband access and those who do not, but also the importance of closing the divide between online content consumers and online content producers.

If you want to learn more about producing and distributing your own online content, register to attend the 2014 Blogging While Brown Conference in New York City, June 27-28, 2014.
